About Us

Then......................................................

Layton Homes was established 44 years ago with solid ingredients for success: ambition and hard work.  Mr. Ben Layton started in the industry by working with lending institutions from our northern states collecting delinquent accounts.  From this experience of working with customers came a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.  In 1968, Mr. Layton worked diligently with other industry businessmen in the formation of The North Carolina Manufactured Housing Institute.
The modular homes displayed at our sales location are a variety of sizes and styles.  These homes are environmentally displayed in a home-like setting.  Layton Homes has a selection of homes built by R-Anell Housing Group.  We feel this company has a continuing commitment to quality, while at the same time backing their homes with superior customer service.
We at Layton Homes also have a strong commitment to customer service, which is handled by our company personnel.  We believe superior customer service is built upon a foundation of listening, trust and respect for the potential of each customer.
From this belief in service comes a corresponding belief in sales that sales representatives will not hard-sell consumers, but will work diligently to make sure the home selected does meet all of the customer's needs before making that final financial arrangement.  During the whole process of home purchase, a Layton family member is in stride with the consumer.  Building upon that strength of trust, the Layton family prides itself in customer satisfaction.
Personnel at Layton Homes sell with the concept of "home" in mind.  We are not an alternative to site-built homes, instead, we are the answer to quality housing at an affordable price.  To help our customers better understand our homes, a full information package, which contains factory literature is available for each prospective customer.
Another one of Mr. Layton's beliefs comes with his land/home subdivision projects.  In these locations the consumer is provided with a real estate home package that carries all the same long-term financial benefits, along with the high appreciation values received with real estate, but at a much smarter purchase price.

In "2000"

Loan packages within a subdivision or customer owned lots bring together the home, land, permanent foundation system, masonry perimeter wall, utility systems, landscaping, and other amenities to meet each individual customer's needs.
Layton Homes employs contractors, who receive the product from the factory and then customize the home with consumer selected additions such as, adding front porches, decks and outside utility storage - once again providing the customer with "his" home.
The sales management at Layton Homes is constantly
studying and working for the best financial packages.  All of the home loans done by the dealership are mortgage loans with up to 30-year terms.
Our commitment to high industry standards are reflected by numerous industry recognitions and awards.  For example:

........................And Now "2004" And Still Getting Better

Mr. Ben Layton was the first in this area to start subdivisions for Manufactured Housing.  Layton was the first in the area to move from a selection of singlewide and doublewide homes to only multi-sectional homes - and recently have gone to a modular only offering of homes.  Also, Layton is proud to announce it's opening of an upscale modular only subdivision in the Spring of 2004.
The Layton family and the staff at Layton Homes are firm believers in customer satisfaction and customer service.  We build our goals and direction around this belief.  We hope you will stop by and let us share with you our selection of homes, knowledge of modular homes, and help you with your home purchase.
